  • A new Trickle Project!

    A new Trickle Project has started!!
    The aim is to complete a 30 / 45 second short story using only Blender.

    We hope to finish all the work in 3 months.
    The theme will be “Something Mechanical“.

    Let’s start by introducing the team…

    The team is formed by 5 young artists. Each one has a specific role but all the main decisions about the project are taken by the whole team.

    Mattia , age 24, will make the 3D models of characters, settings and most of the objects inside the scene.
    Lorenzo, age 19, will rig the characters and will help Mattia modelling characters and objects.
    They both will animate all the characters.
    Davide, age 19, has the task of making all this look realistic using shading, texturing and lighting.
    These three guys are the core of the project.

    Then there are two more people inside the Trickle Project.
    Gherardo (that’s me), age 23. I will do everything is necessary to support the main team, like writing the screenplay and realizing the animatics.
    I will also take care of this blog, filling it with posts, pics and videos about Trickle Project and Blender news.
    Petru, age 25, has the task to improve the vector blur node in Blender’s compositor.

    Francesco Paglia and Lorenzo Pierfederici are the chiefs of this project.
    They give the young artists the necessary support and knowledge to carry through with the short story film. They will also ensure that the project continues to be of a high standard.

    Here we are.
    So now let’s start to make a short story!!!

    Ausgabe 4Hi Leute.
    Erstmal möchte ich mich auch aufrichtig entschuldigen, dass erst jetzt wieder Bewegung in die Sache kommt, aber wegen einer langen Krankheit und familiären Problemen kann ich erst jetzt wieder damit beginnen das blenderzin zu verwalten.

    Points to Ponder:

    • Do we want her to see past the peacock’s insecurity?
    • If she can look past, the turkey’s and looks are not important? What is the reasoning for looking nice?
    • She is not passive. She is a sense of “I know”.
    • She always talk with a sense of confidence (seldom small talk.) and knows she can get anything ,but choose to be with who she likes.
    • She is not put off by the activeness of the peacock but by the way he courts her.
    • Trinkets are unique. (have explaination.)

    Hace un tiempo cuando se termino el taller de blender que di aca en casa tiramos la idea de hacer un cortometraje cortissimo, tiramos una idea, una estetica y sin guion ni mucho mas empezamos a modelar como para juntar todo el material un dia y ponernos a mezclar recursos, finalmente la super juntata de blenderheads no surgio :( vaya a saber uno porque, hay gente que tiene mas entusiasmo que otra supongo, ya nos juntaremos!…

    En fin, en ese intervalo de tiempo, hace unas semanas prepare un par de modelos para el proyecto, son elementos que van a componer el escenario (parque de diversiones, carnival, circo, etc… de miedo claro! ;) )

    Siempre me gustaron las sagas de lucasarts y cuando dijeron carnaval + deviertido + macabro + deforme se me vino a la cabeza ese escenario de Sam&Max. Mi honor y humilde homenaje blendero a aquellos artistas tan geniales!
