DC ACM/SIGGRAPH Blender Seminars – 19 March

The DC chapter of ACM/SIGGRAPH is holding a set of Professional Development Seminars at George Washington University in Washington, D.C. this month, from March 18-20. As part of this, I will be teaching two seminars on the 19th: a Blender Basics course in the morning and an Advanced Blender course in the afternoon. Registration is open now. You can find out more information on the DC ACM/SIGGRAPH website, including a brochure PDF. Should be a lot of fun. Of course, if you have any questions, you’re free to ask here.

Big news: Character animator Beorn Leonard has joined the Durian team!

More power in the animation department: Beorn started today as character animator. He was already living in Amsterdam, so it was an easy decision to add him during the final months. Beorn has been doing a course at Animation Mentor (using Blender) and already proved to be a very fast and skilled character animator.

Beorn is born Australian, and since recently with British nationality too. More euro power!

BTW 2: I’ve already seen so much cool stuff here in the studio… but the artists don’t like to share it yet! Just wait a bit, they are making it really awesome!

Kemkominfo dan FOSS-ID bekerja sama dengan BISKOM  dan Mal Artha Gading (MAG) menyelenggarakan rangkaian kompetisi pada tahun 2010, yaitu desain grafis, animasi, kompetisi game dan Open Document Format (ODF). Untuk  lomba poster ketiganya dimenangkan oleh arek suroboyo yang tergabung dalam forum Blender Indonesia.
