This is the perfect post and may be one that is followed up to see what happens

A colleague e-mailed this link the other day and I will be desperately awaiting your next post. Keep on on the first-rate work.

  • Mastering Blender Game Engine
    mike's digital anthology - 2010-09-12 20:59:23

While Dalai and I are still working on the 400 page manuscript day and night (haha, no not really, but it’s fun to pretend that we are working hard on it), Amazon already has this soon-to-be-legendary book on a 35% discount.  So if you are remotely interested in Blender but is short on cash, why not pre-order this book today and be one of the first reader to email us about that spelling mistake on page 274.

The book will cover every BGE topic from graphics to shader, logic bricks to python, so there is something for everyone.

  • Mining ends, Filming continues
    Materia - The Awakening - 2010-09-12 18:28:39

Yes, i just returned from the mine, and will soon get back to work (as soon as i get back to my own computer with all the goodies). As for the mining trip everything went … unexpectedly, but Okay. No ofcourse you are here to read about the project, not my mining.

    Progress on props

After quick glance at forums, reveals that numerous “prop” models have been made during past week, and i personally was bit surprised by this, Zeffi has been  working hard (like many other people on the project, but i’ll give you Zeffi some extra credit here :) ) . And we are making nice progress.

It will take few days before i get back to my own computer and can check my TODO list, as to what i was supposed to do next. But rest assured, ultimately the last item on that list is just one word… “RELEASE”… But that date is set about 9 months from here. So we have to wait that for a bit longer.

  • Blender Foundation: Status Update Week 36
    Letwory Interactive - 2010-09-12 10:26:19

Last week I’ve been closing some more reports, 23 in total. I’m also still working on some scripts to help me with both generating stats and some graphs. I also worked on the release logs, reading through 5000 lines of svn log. With the imminent release of Blender 2.54 we’ll have a good basis to work from, both statistically and in terms of stabilizing and finalizing Blender, to pull out of the Beta stage.

Now for some stats and graphs:

  • The Producer's Report #124 - Extra! Extra! v.14 Screening Success!
    Phil McCoy's Posts - Project London - 2010-09-12 00:17:40

Just seven hours ago this group of people got to see and review Project London v.14. It was exhilarating to see this version of the movie projected and to see how far we have come in our ability to manage the narrative. The discussion following the screening was lively, but I have to say one of the best moments for me was hearing my new friend Bodhi, a 6-year-old member of our screening audience, say to his dad at the end, "that was a great movie."

We are currently processing the surveys and discussion points and expect to make decisions about final modifications to the movie in the next few days. Anyone planning to send us notes should do so by tomorrow, Sunday. Thank you!

It was also quite a delight to have many principal actors, key crew members and some extras present to see their work for the first time. Don't forget, we shot this in August of '07! Today, we are delighted to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Sound design will be starting in earnest very soon and the team we have assembled is first rate and excited for the Triumvirate to declare "picture lock".

Thank you Grand Illusion Cinema and everyone who attended the screening!

    Sincerely,

    Phil McCoy, Executive Producer
on behalf of Nathan McCoy (left), also Executive Producer and Phil McCoy (right)
